Congratulations to Sheela Prakash, whose debut cookbook Mediterranean Every Day sold to Thom O'Hearn at Harvard Common Press!
Sheela is a food writer and recipe developer who has been on staff at Epicurious and
Food52. Currently she is an editor at Kitchn, the largest independently owned food media
site. Sheela is also a registered dietitian and certified wine educator who holds master's degrees from the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Italy and New York University's Department of Nutrition and Food Studies. She is, umm, well credentialed.
Mediterranean Every Day will be a Mediterranean diet-inspired cookbook focused on weeknight-friendly, unfussy recipes for home cooks. It will include about 75 recipes, many reflecting Sheela's creative takes on classic dishes (Indian-ish was one source of inspiration). Below are a few photos we included in the proposal -- how fun are those Cannoli Blondies?! (Note: These are just teasers from Sheela's Instagram account -- we have a professional photographer lined up for the book shoot.)
And here is the Publisher's Marketplace deal memo:
Congratulations again to Sheela and Thom!
