Waterproof is an anthology of essays from South Florida-based writers, journalists, and government figures with the theme of Miami in Memoriam. ​Editor Mario Ariza asked, “What will you miss when Miami is gone?” 165 writers and artists from all corners of Miami-Dade County answered that question.

Waterproof is published by Jai-Alai Books, an imprint of O, Miami, a cultural organization best known for putting on the famed Miami poetry festival that runs the entire month of April each year.
