Blake is a registered nurse and the most popular nurse influencer on social media, with over 2.4M followers across his Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube channels. His inspiring and hilarious videos, which range from comedic impressions of nurses on first dates to serious tips about how to choose a nursing school, have been viewed over 250,000,000 times.
Blake uses his platform to advocate for healthier work environments for nurses and patients, by tackling issues like burnout and lack of support. He is a founder of Nurses Support Their Young, which aims to end workplace bullying throughout the healthcare industry. As a nursing student at the University of Central Florida, Blake formed Banned4Life, a movement to end an outdated FDA blood donor policy. After two years of grassroots organizing, and after Blake authored an op-ed on the policy that was published in the New York Times, the FDA agreed to lift the lifetime ban on blood donations for gay men.
Blake is also the creator of the ultimate nursing conference, NurseCon at Sea, which sold out in two minutes and has 4,000 nurses registered in 2021.
His Call Light Tour, featuring a mix of live skits, videos, and interactive presentations drawn from real-life experiences of nurses and nursing students, was sold out in 2020 and has 25 tour stops planned for 2021.
Blake has worked in a number of healthcare roles, including med-surg, critical care, injury prevention, and care coordination at Level 1 Trauma centers around the country. He lives in Orlando, Florida, with his husband, Brett.
